When you create a job, the agreed payment or stage payments are held securely in escrow. The funds are only released to the tradesperson when you approve the completed work. This protects both customers and tradespeople by knowing the money is available and will only be released on satisfactory completion of the job or service.
Paylio is free to download and use for both customers and tradespeople. We charge a small percentage fee on every job to cover our costs and maintain the platform.
We verify tradespeople through a combination of identity checks, business registration verification, and certification validation where applicable. Verified professionals receive trust badges on their profile once they have completed checks should they choose to do so.
Paylio supports over 50 trade categories including electricians, plumbers, builders, carpenters, decorators, roofers, gas engineers, HVAC specialists, locksmiths, gardeners, and many more.
